Naughty is a special red merle girl born at Crimson Miniature American Shepherds on June 23, 2022. Her mother is our outstanding girl Shine, and Sparkle is her aunt. Her father is Platinum Grand Champion Blue Elk Beginning of an Icon (Legend), one of the breed’s top dogs. Co-bred with Sheila Hoskins of Woodridge Aussies, Naughty is owned by Teresa at Crimson MAS. Despite her name, she is a sweet, cuddly girl—not a naughty puppy. Her biggest vice is hiding her toys and chewies so she can guard them from the other dogs. Naughty stands 15½ inches tall.
Naughty started her show career by winning a UKC Best in Show as a puppy at 4 months old and again as a young teenager. She is a UKC Champion with multiple UKC group placements, as well as an AKC Champion.
Naughty quickly completed her AKC Championship, earning four majors in just nine ring appearances. With limited showing, she achieved her Grand Championship at 11 months old, then rapidly advanced through Bronze and Silver before concluding her show career as a Gold Grand Champion. Along the way, she earned multiple Owner-Handled Best in Shows, Herding Group wins and placements, Best of Breed honors at several Miniature American Shepherd specialties, and a Reserve Best in Show. In 2025, we were thrilled to see her win Best of Breed at the MASCUSA National Specialty Show—a truly prestigious honor.
Beyond conformation, Naughty has earned multiple performance titles and has proven to be an excellent ambassador for the breed. Her outstanding temperament and outgoing nature make her a joy to live with, show, and partner with in any activity.
