We lost Captain far too young to complications from an unexpected snake bite, leaving an emptiness in our lives.
Captain never met a stranger and loved everyone he encountered. Bred by Taylor Cody of Wild West Mini Aussies in Texas, he won our hearts at first sight. He had a medium drive: content to relax with us on the couch at night, yet active during the day. Eager to do anything asked of him, Captain was an exceptional working dog. He earned titles in multiple registries in conformation, agility, obedience, and rally obedience, along with certificates in Farm Dog, herding, and trick dog and Canine Good Citizen, Advanced, and Urban titles. Captain passed his loving, intelligent, easygoing nature to his puppies. They are eager to please, have outstanding temperaments, make wonderful pets, and thrive in performance homes. Several compete in agility, with some ranking very highly.
Captain’s puppies earned him the MASCUSA Register of Merit sire designations ROMX and ROM-P.
Captain was registered with AKC and UKC and also in the OFA CHIC program for having all of the health testing done as recommended by the Miniature American Shepherd breed club. DNA health tested clear on all tests, including CDDY & NAD.
OFA Hips: Excellent, Elbows: Normal, Patellas: Normal, OFA Eyes: Clear.
